A cheque has been presented to the Angus group for a number of years now by Wilma White from Forfar (first left in the picture below with a child in her arms, please excuse the picture as it is squint and it is too late to access another picture now).  This year it was for £2000.00 and was presented to Dave Fowler (centre front  of the picture).  Wilma has done a huge amount of fundraising for us and over quite a number of years as well now (not just for us either read the text in picture).  She has a heart of gold and does most of the organizing for  fundraising and does not take a single penny for her expenses either, or her continued hours of devoted time.  Wilma deserves a medal for all of her good work she does and she has proved herself to be a rock to our branch time and time again.  Thanks goes to all who have supported Wilma with all of their input of donations or in whichever way they have helped to this.

Members of the Angus Threeway Fundraisers, led by Wilma White of Forfar, made cheque presentations totally £6,000 following yet another successful year of fund-raising ventures. Cheques for £2,000 were presented to three good causes which were Angus Cancer Care, Childlink and the Angus Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The volunteer fund-raisers are pictures in the picture in the Osnaburg Bar with, seated from left was Anne Pender (Angus Cancer Care), Dave Fowler (Angus branch of MS Society) and Linda Smeaton (Childlink).

The second picture (below) is connected also to Wilma, with a phone call within 3 or 4 weeks of the Threeway Fundraisers presentation (in picture above).  This was a another cheque this time though from Ronald Smith (right side of picture below) he is a friend of Wilma, and he got in touch with her and Wilma then got in touch with us.  Ronald had his hair cut  & coloured to raise money for our charity, (see newspaper clipping below the picture below this text). Ron also donated money from his 60th birthday to go with the money he made for doing his haircut which raised a cheque for £720.00  This cheque was presented to Ruby Martin a committee-member on behalf of the Angus Branch (she is in centre of picture below) in the Victoria Bar Forfar.  "Well done Ron for your kind generosity and again to Linda and to all helped with their contributions to this".

Presentation of cheque, A well known Forfar man can be excused from feeling the chill these days - for he undertook a head shave in the aid of a good cause to mark his 60th birthday. Ron Smith got his short back and very little sides in the Victoria Bar, raising the excellent sum of £720 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in the process. He presented the cheque to Ruby Martin of the Angus Branch of the M.S. Society.
