The Angus Branch has been in existence for over 30 years. Our branch covers the Counties of Angus and Kincardineshire.
Objects and Purposes as a Charity
The welfare and support of those affected by M.S. together with their families.
To encourage people affected by M.S. to attain their full potential as members of society and improve their quality of life, (this we attain by offering support to our members).
To promote research into finding the cause and seeking a cure for M.S.
We aim to keep regular contact with our members.
Monthly
afternoon and evening events are organised around the area when we can advise and
offer support on matters ranging from equipment to suitable holiday locations.
A telephone counselling service is available manned by trained staff who also have M.S. Tel. 0808 800 8000
Booklets
are freely available to all aspects of M.S. A two monthly magazine (M.S. Matters)
is sent out with details about the work of the Society and research development.
Fund-raising plays a part, not only to finance the work of the Branch, but to help Research into M.S.
Many Fundraising events are very social and give an opportunity to meet people.
Our Hope
Our Hope is that as many people as possible, be they people with M.S., their family and friends, professional carers or the general public will become more aware of Multiple Sclerosis and how it can effect sufferers and their families by supporting the work of the society.
There is a strong committee which includes a support co-ordinator to assist our members. We hope you enjoy our website.
