About the Venue.

Here we are again we went to the Colliston Inn last year for our 35th Birthday Party, we were last here 357 days ago on Friday 28th November 2008.

In 1973 we branched out on our own, setting up our own branch, prior to this we were part of the Dundee branch.  So that now makes the Angus Branch 36 years old.

Picture here from left to right Dave McBeath and his wife (Secretary) Ina Mcbeath.The road from Arbroath to Friockheim was closed so it proved to be difficult to access the Colliston Inn this year.  It did not stop our guests though as we had 42 in total.

Their own website is under a revamp and won't be live for about another fortnight yet.

How did it go?

The event went well where we all 42 of us enjoyed a 3 course meal.  Outside was a cold night for all (after all the rain we have been getting), but we all had great fun and there was plenty laughter as everyone seemed to get on well with each other telling jokes and sharing this time together. 

Brian Scally announced that we had 7 committee members and another member of our branch who went on the first aid course. (This is not just open to committee members anyone interested can go through this course).

They had all passed after proving they had learnt what to do, so they all got awarded with certificates.  This course was a lot of fun to do and we are grateful to the MS Society for putting us all through this and we had a great day and a great teacher Caroline Meagher who not only taught us well but kept us all entertained.

Raffle.

The raffle was successful and made £187.00 so many thanks to all who donated the prizes for the raffle, and to those who also contribute by buying raffle tickets.

Remember these raffles help to pay towards the costs of our outings so thanks go to Anne & Jean for their help in running the raffle books.

Our Next & Final outing this year.

Our next outing this year will be our last outing which is our Christmas Lunch which is to be held on Saturday 5th December in The Park Hotel Montrose try to be there for 12.30pm to start at 1pm.

One very important thing to do before turning up is telephone Anne & Terry on 01356 624461 to confirm your number of seats this is to make sure you will have a meal provided for you and your guests who you  indicate will be coming!  Surely this is not to much to ask?

Failing to do so may turn out one day that you or your guests may miss out.
