Helen Adam's donated a cheque for £550.00 she is related to Cathy and Bill Aitken (sister or sister in law) who also gave us a donation in 2007. Thanks to Helen and anyone else who may have contributed to this donation.
There was a total of £44.91p in the collection box at the Royal Infirmary Arbroath canteen, this was emptied by our treasurer. Thanks go to all who helped in contributing to this.
I have been informed by our treasure on Friday the 9th October at the Quiz night we have had a further £42.01p from Arbroath Infirmary. Thanks again to all who helped in contributing to this.
Wilma Whyte has done it yet again, she presented MS Angus branch and the other two charities namely Angus Cancer Care, and Childlink at the Reid Hall in Forfar with a cheque for £2200.00 each. That makes a total of £6600.00 that was donated to the charities last year in 2008. This has increased from last year by £600.00 (£200.00 extra to each charity). Thanks go to all who helped Wilma with their donations or input and a special thanks again to Wilma.
The cheques were donated at her 50th Birthday Party where she invited us along with the other charities representatives and loads of other friends and family.
In the invitation that she sent out she stated that she did not want any presents, but if you wished to give something then you could just make a donation to be put into the Threeway-Fundraisers collection box. This made a start to the 2009 fundraising collection.

Our branch donated the flowers to Wilma (see above) for her birthday, and to say a special thank-you for all her unstoppable efforts. Wilma is a very down to earth girl the salt of the earth and she does not like any fuss made about any of her good deeds. She got very emotional when presented with the flowers but we also respected her wishes and made a donation to the Threeway-fundraisers charity box.
The donation from Wilma was made to Agness Boath, (support co-ordinator for our branch) the other committee members present was Ruby Martin, (my wife) and myself, and Arthur Boath (husband of Agnes). Arthur was busy taken the pictures so unfortunately can't be seen on any of the pictures showing the donation of the cheque.
The other 2 cheques were donated to Anne Pender for Angus Cancer Care, and Linda Smeaton for Childlink.

This was brought to our Edzell outing and handed in there the cash was donated in a collecting can from the Golf Inn, Park Avenue, Carnoustie, was collected and the amount came to £39.88p. Thanks go to all who helped in contributing to this collection.
There was a donation from Mrs Dolly Mowat who is known locally in Padanaram (Paddy) by Forfar. Dolly was the mother of Linda Walker (and Linda was married to Stuart Walker). Linda and Stuart were members of our Angus branch, but sadly Linda passed away and is no longer with us.
The donation from Dolly was a bag full of gifts for raffle prizes along with a cheque for £50.00. Thanks go to Dolly for her kind donations and the trouble she has went to in passing this on to our branch.
Our treasurer Mae Scott picked up 2 tubs from the Ship Inn in Arbroath on Monday 16th March, and the total of the contents was £67.29p. Thanks go to all who have contributed to these donations.
Mae Scott our treasurer and Yogi Scott her husband also a committee member were presented with a cheque for £1000.00p at the Golf Inn, in Montrose. (see picture below),

This was from the cribbage league, thanks go to all who contributed into this for our charity.
£48.28 was raised by the Inchbrayock Parish Church by holding a drop in cafe once a week. Thanks go to all who contributed to this.
There was a memoriam donation given to our branch of £127.70p. This was a collection made at the late Reverend Alexander Spence's funeral, (Edzell). Thanks go to all who contributed to this and our condolences go to all his family and friends.

We received a cheque to the value of £402.00p from the late Michael Keen (Edzell) from his wife Mrs Keen condolences to all his friends and family and thanks for the donation.

The Threeway Fundraisers did well at the show I got a phone call tonight from Wilma to let me know that they made a total of £825 so thanks to all who supported them. The Threeway Fundraisers are a charity which fundraises for the 3 charities namely MS Angus Branch, Angus Cancer Care, and Childlink.
Crown Park Estates at the Seaton Estate Holiday Village have a donation can at their bar and it was emptied recently with a total of £60.72p.

We received a letter today from David K Milne who informed us that this year saw the reinstatement of the raft race in Marykirk which raised funds for a number of charities locally.
MS, in the past, was one of the annual beneficiaries, so we got a donation of £261.25p.

The very successful concert which the Carnoustie Choir held in Carnoustie Church in March 2009 raised profits of £1000 which the Choir decided to donate a cheque for £300 this year to Alzheimer Scotland, also a cheque for £300 to the Angus Carers Centre in Arbroath, our Angus branch also received a cheque for £300, and there was a further cheque of £100 to the talented young musicians of Blazin' Brass who shared the stage with the Carnoustie Choir at the concert. Cheques were handed over at the Choir's weekly rehearsal in the Philip Hall, Carnoustie. Thank you very to the choir in making this donation possible.

Our chairman Brian Robson received a cheque for the amount of £500 in respect of the funeral of the late Mr Gordon Paton. Our thoughts and sympathy go to the family of Mr Paton at the time of their sad loss and also our sincere thanks for the kind donation to our branch.

A total of £1200 was donated to our branch in memory of Irene Masson this took place at the Abby Inn in Arbroath they were the longest-serving publicans namely Francis and Dave Smith and they ran the Abby Inn in Arbroath for 31 years.
Francis and Dave held a party on Sunday to thank their former customers for their support and to wish the best to their successor Steve Millan.
Thanks go to all Tom Masson (Irene's Husband), Melanie Masson his daughter, Francis and Dave Smith and his successor Steve Millan for all of their contributions in making all of this possible.
We wish Steve Millan all the best in his future adventure at the Abby Inn.

Ina our secretary had a letter from David Milne of Laurencekirk, His wife has MS but they were unable to come to the Christmas Lunch because his wife had an operation for a knee replacement and so they sent us a cheque for £20.00.
Sorry you were unable to come to the Christmas Lunch and thanks very much David for your kind contribution and we hope your wife gets better soon.
