There was a donation of £35.00 sent in from Edna Machar who suffers from MS and she in turn gave it to Ina Edna received the cheque from her friends Mrs and Mr Hutcheon who raised the funds. Thanks to all who contributed in this.
Wilma Whyte presented us with a cheque for £2,800.00 for her continual support to our branch and the other 2 charities.
This was in the Toll Booth in Forfar (across from the post office) where there was a very enjoyable evening where there was a raffle free buffet and Karaoke. Wilma has done this now for countless years and is a very good support to our branch.
There was a mixed bag of coins worth £6.70 handed to Alec our treasurer at the Park Hotel event. Thanks to all who helped with this.

There was a donation of £505.35 from Mr Stephen Ellis from Brechin in respect of his late wife Mrs Anne Ellis. We are all sorry for his loss and offer our condolences and would like to thank him for his kind donation.
Maureen McKay Natural Health Centre Arbroath.
We have received a donation of £24.20 from Maureen McKay Natural Health Centre, 2 Westport, Arbroath. Maureen had collected the money from the sale of stars. Ian Bell had some stars left. Thanks go to all who contributed in making this possible.
Our chairman Brian received money from a box that was in a shop called Irene's Lingerie and Fashion 221 High Street, Arbroath. (They are now closed), the amount was £53.47 thanks go to all who contributed in making this possible.
Ann Robson and Brian the chairman and Marion Dye (ADO from Scottish HQ) attended the Annual General Meeting of the Angus Young Farmers in Troopers at FORFAR.
Our branch received a donation of £250.00 Marion gave a talk on the M.S. Society in general, and I, explained what we as a branch are doing in the Angus area and what their donation could be used for, both of our talks were received very well by everyone there, the other person in the photo is their chair Katy Ralston.
There was another recipient of a donation similar to ours, it was Mercy Ships, Thanks very much to the Angus Young Farmers for thinking of us and making this donation.
The collection for the 17th Mar in Tesco's Montrose made £259.48 and the one for the next day made £258.00 making a total of £517.48 for both these days.

There was another donation from Mrs Dolly Mowat this year, Dolly had a trip down to Ina's house to donate this cheque. Dolly donated to us last year also, and is known locally in Paddy. The correct name for the village is PADANARAM. (Paddy is on the road to KIRRIEMUIR from FORFAR).
Dolly was the mother of Linda Walker (now deceased). Linda was married to Stuart Walker.
Linda and Stuart were once members of our Angus branch.
The donation from Dolly was a cheque for £35.00 Thanks go to Dolly for her kind donation.
Mrs Betty Wilkie from GLAMIS by FORFAR invited us to hold a raffle at the British Legion in FORFAR last weekend.
Arthur & Agness Boath together with Brian & Anne Scally attended this fundraising event to hold the raffle on behalf of our branch.
Betty's daughter Rhona has MS and this is why she invited us to hold the raffle there and why this money is to go to our branch.
The Raffle made £172.00 and their was also a bottle of whiskey auctioned which made a further £35.00 which brings the total made up at the event to £207.00
Thanks to all who contributed in this (including the reps from our branch) who went to hold the raffle at FORFAR British legion.
We hope that perhaps Rhona and her family/friends may join us with her presence in the future at any of our events we hold.
Our treasurer received a donation of
£75.00 he received as payment for completing a survey with BPRL (Business
Planning and Research Limited).

George Mowbray one of our members handed our treasurer Alec some cans at the BBQ yesterday (18th) these cans had been kept in ETHEL AUSTIN'S in ARBROATH. George's daughter works there and the total of the cans came to £131.95p so thanks go to all who contributed to our charity.

I got an email today from Brian Robson our chairman to let me know that he and his wife received a cheque from the ladies section of the Royal Artillery Association for £400 last night (Friday 6th).

Brian gave a small talk about what MS was. He further explained what the money they had donated to our branch and what it could be used for by our branch, Brian further explained that it would not leave Angus. Thanks to all who contributed into this donation.
We have received a donation of £430.92 from the proceeds of a collection following the funeral of the late Mrs Anne Alice Kelly. We offer our condolences and sympathy to the friends and family and would like to further thank all who helped in this donation.
