About the Venue.

This was the second outing of the year and it was held in the Park Hotel Montrose, we were last here at the Park Hotel for the Christmas party on Saturday the 6th December 2008.

How did it go?

It was a lovely spring day on our drive up to Montrose the sun was shining just like it was a summers day, but as we came down by the Montrose basin the clouds had started gathering over and it became very overcast and looked like rain was on the way.

As we were early on arrival, we sat and had some tea while waiting for everyone to start arriving. Then everybody came in I counted approximately 55 in total so there was a good turn out to this outing.

We all had afternoon tea/coffee with sausage rolls and sandwiches and scones and we all had a good old blether with each other. 

So thanks go to everyone for turning up, and all the bus drivers/carers for making it possible for them to come as well, thanks go to everyone else who helped in organising and making this event possible for all our members to attend.

Our next outing is our Annual General Meeting at the Letham Hotel on Saturday the 18th April at 2pm.

When we left the Park Hotel the sun had come out again but there was a noticeable bit of a chill in the air.

Raffle.

This is our second raffle of the year and it made a healthy sum of £221.00p this brings the total of this years raffles to £421.00p 

Jean and Anne have ran the raffle for years now, and it is well established now so thanks go to Jean and Anne, also everyone who brings in donations which are then used for prizes for the raffle.

The raffle is a joint effort by everyone who bring in donations, or even members who just simply buy the raffle tickets to take part.

The raffle has been ran properly for years now, but it is a team effort of members, suppliers, and committee workers.

The raffle helps pay towards some of the cost of the event so it is good that most people help contribute in this.

Vice Chair.

Dave Fowler announced at the meeting that Brian Scally was now our Vice Chair and asked him to stand up to show himself to everybody.
